Your Expert: Mala Ullal
Mala Ullal is an expert in the field of intercultural personnel and leadership development with more than 10 years of professional experience at home and abroad.
Raised in the tension field of three cultures- India, USA, and Germany- Mala Ulla trained her intercultural background into her profession. As a certified intercultural trainer, she works for multinational corporations an manages SMEs that operate on a global level.
The design and implementation of management training, intercultural negotiation preparations, team training as well as individual training and deployment preparations with view on India, USA, and Germany are her main focus.
In addition, Mala Ullal offers strategic consulting, intercultural coaching, crisis interventions, mediations, and university lectures. Mala mainly works in Germany, India, and the USA, but is also booked for special assignments (such as by the Ministry of Culture of the Kindgdom of Bahrain).
Mala speaks German, English, Hindi (basic knowledge), and Marathi (basic knowledge).

Content
Participants are sensitized to cultural differences and learn to understand their own cultural preferences and their impact on international work. They learn to understand the expectations of their international colleagues, partners and clients in terms of communication style, time management, information flow, hierarchies, decision-making and other aspects of cooperation. Participants will gain confidence in dealing with foreign colleagues, partners, and customers through interpreting specific situations, role playing, reflection exercises, film clips, etc. They practice changing perspectives and develop a sense for the appropriate range of adaption. Participants can also use virtual communication to their advantage when it comes to cultural differences.
